FSA Federal Names Barbra Roach West Regional Director
ASHBURN, Va., May 12, 2021 — FSA Federal, a government contractor serving U.S. federal law enforcement and homeland security agencies, announced that Barbra Roach joined the company as the West Regional Director, reporting directly to FSA’s Vice President for Department of Justice Operations, Steve Derr.
As FSA Federal’s lead director in the West Region, Roach will provide operational leadership for all aspects of FSA Federal’s Asset Forfeiture Administrative Support Services contract, leading a geographically dispersed workforce across 13 states and the territory of Guam. Roach replaces Peter Nunez, former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California, who retired after 17 years of distinct service to the company.

Roach joins FSA Federal after her tenure as Laboratory Director for the Wyoming State Crime Laboratory. In that role, Roach had oversight of the forensic analysis for Drug Chemistry, Toxicology, DNA/Biology, Firearms, Toolmarks, Blood Pattern Interpretation, Impressions (tire and footwear), as well as Quality Assurance and the Evidence Unit.
Prior to her time at the crime lab, Roach worked at DEA for 31 years including her role as the Special Agent in Charge of the Denver Division which spanned a four-state region including Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. Her experience with DEA spanned working criminal investigations, asset forfeiture cases, and program and operation management.
Roach holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Behavioral Science and Business Administration.
