Data Entry Operator II
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Laguna Niguel, CA

I am currently working as Data Entry Operator II at the California Service Center in Laguna Nigel since February 2019. My job is to use computerized archival system in conjunction with a file management structure to create, record, and organize applications. My occupation also includes pre-screening various applications and submissions by USCIS customers, which requires accuracy and diligence to uphold the company’s standards. Additionally, I am responsible for safeguarding the sensitive information entrusted by the customers and ensuring secure fee transactions.

During my employment with FSA, I have met a diverse group of people who are united by the company’s commitment to excellence. The environment has given me expansive growth in ideas and experiences by allowing me to interact with different types of people of various ages and cultures. Respect for each other’s backgrounds promotes opportunities to share and learn. The environment really promotes companionship—I feel like I am working amongst friends instead of just co-workers. I am never afraid to ask when I truly need help because everyone is so willing to lend a hand.

The year 2020 has been tough for everyone because of COVID-19. However, FSA’s commitment and dedication has allowed the entire company to persevere and to stay resilient and productive.

This position has given me an excellent opportunity to develop and improve my skills to further my career professionally. I am always seeking new knowledge and experiences to grow within the workplace. I am motivated to strive for improvements and productivity but still retain quality assurance of my work.

I enjoy traveling and try to take trips as often as I can. Traveling allows me to open myself up to new situations that encourage me to adapt and grow.
